Jamestown, ND

With rich, black, nutrient-packed soil, it’s no wonder Jamestown, North Dakota is known as the “Pride of the Prairie.”

Farm

A mammoth glacial lake blesses this area with rich, black soil, and the land is virtually flat and stone-free. These unique conditions make it one of the most productive growing regions in the United States.

Food

Russet Burbank is the predominant potato variety, making the potato crop ideal for long, premium-quality French fries. These are processed in our facilities in Jamestown and supplied to restaurants across North America and around the world.

Family

Combined with environmental stewardship, local farmers use cutting-edge, innovative technology to grow the best potatoes possible.

Sustainability

By working closely with farmers in Jamestown to ensure best practices is one way we do right by the environment.

Here are some more:

  • Our Energy Efficiency Teams continue to examine the agriculture industry as a whole, and create environmentally friendlier ways to work the land.
  • We work with local cattle farmers to divert over 80 million pounds of potato peels and trimmings away from the landfill and into the feedstock of cattle raised in nearby farms. That's enough potatoes to feed over 3,500 head of cattle a year!
  • Our Russet type Prospect Potato is a proprietary variety developed by agricultural experts that grows faster, and requires less water, less fertilizer, and less pest control application. This means more potatoes, fewer footprints!
